Cashmere Group: Sire Reference Scheme

Research Timeline

The Cashmere Sire Reference Scheme is a 5 year research project which; began in September 2004. Data will be collected over three matings and will be complete after the 2nd shearing of kids born in 2007. The primary traits to be evaluated are the fleece characteristics of the kids but weight, temperament and faecal egg count will also be evaluated. The kidding and shearing requirements of the project are outlined in table 1.
